Hoi, dit is een snel in elkaar gezette site om de informatie voor de Elektro Deeg op MCH2022 te delen.

Elektrodeeg is een 'doe-het-zelf' klei/deegachtige substantie die electriciteit geleidt.Je kan gave dingen van de klei boetseren en door wat batterijen (ik gebruik 6 Volts in totaal) te combineren met wat eenvoudige electronica componenten zoals een buzzer of een paar (LED) lichtjes kun je je creaties tot leven brengen! Het is erg leuk voor (basisschool) kinderen van 4-10 jaar oud en ook voor creatieve ouders ;)

Door het zuur van de citroensap en het zout geleidt het deeg stroom. Het zorgt er ook voor dat het deeg vreselijk zout & zuur smaakt, het is dus niet eetbaar. Echt waar. Ik heb het geprobeerd...bah!

PAS OP: Heb je allergiëen controleer dan alsjeblieft het recept voordat je ermee aan de slag gaat!

De ingrediënten bestaan uit heel gewone keukenspullen zoals bloem, citroen sap, zout en kleurstoffen.

Ik heb dit recept gekregen via 'Tech Will Save Us', een leuk bedrijf wat helaas niet meer lijkt te bestaan. Bedankt mensen van 'Tech Will Save Us'!

Update 20230822: via Helen Leigh hoorde ik dat het oorspronkelijk idee/recept van AnnMarie Thomas afkomstig is. Haar 'Squishy Circuits' aanpak maakt ook gebruik van een isolerend deeg dat nog handiger werkt. Dankjewel AnnMarie!

Elektro Dough

Hi there, this is just a quick thrown together site to share the Elektro Dough workshop information at MCH2022

Elektro Dough is a DIY clay/dough like substance which conducts electricity. You can sculpt cool things from the clay and using some batteries (I use 6 Volts in total) and adding some simple electronics like a buzzer or some (LED) lights bring your creations to life! It is great fun for kids from 4-10 years, and creative parents as well ;)

Due to the acid from lemon juice and the salt, the dough becomes conductive. It also makes the dough tast horrible salty & sour therefor it's non-edible. Really. I've tried it...yuk!

CAUTION: If you have any allergies please check the recipe before you start making it or before taking part in the workshop!

The ingredients are very common kitchen ingredients, like flour, lemon juice, salt and food coloring.

I've got this recipe via 'Tech Will Save Us' a cool company which sadly seems to have disappeared. Thank you people from 'Tech Will Save Us'!

Update 20230822: Via Helen Leigh I've heard that the original idea/recipe was from AnnMarie Thomas. Her 'Squishy Circuits' approach includes using an isolating dough which works even better. Thanks AnnMarie!
